Carmel-by-the-Sea Concours On The Avenue

by Mike –

Today I attended the Carmel-by-the-Sea Concours On The Avenue. There were many great classic cars and the weather was terrific too. This event is free and is in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. This is the kick off event for Monterey Car Week.

Here are some of my favorite cars there today.

Mercedes 300SL Gullwing Coupe
Mercedes 300SL Roadster
Toyota 2000GT
Ferrari Daytonas As Far As The Eye Can See
A Red Ferrari Daytona Coupe With A Silver Front
A Yellow Ferrari Daytona Coupe
Alfa Romeo Ghia Special
1968 Lamborghini Miura P400
1969 Citroen DS21 Pallas
1969 McLaren M6B
1953 Allard J2R
Ferrari 275 GTBs
Ferrari 330 GTC
1967 Apollo GT
1953 Allard K3
AC Bristol

Beautiful cars! Thank you for sharing. Were there any Muscle Cars worth taking photos of?

  2. Mike Gulett says:

Yes there were and they will be the subject of a future post.

Thanks Mike for the response. It looks to have been an exceptional show. We're looking forward to your future post. Great work!

  4. This free show on Ocean Avenue was better than this year’s Concorso Italiano in terms of variety, scope and depth.
Concorso didn’t have an OSCA and here there was a fine one. Plus really rare old Alfas and great one-off Ferrari racers from the 1950s. And where else could you run into a Toyota 2000GT, a Citroen DS Chapron spectator car, a ’63 Ford 427 stocker, and a Talbot Lago all within 2 blocks of each other?
