Clark Gable’s Mercedes

This 1957 Mercedes Benz 300Sc Cabriolet was owned from new by Clark Gable until his death.

It was his daily driver and was taken on many trips to Palm Springs and Las Vegas.

After he died this car was stored for many years and was purchased directly from his widow, Kay Spreckels, in 1982 by Bruce Meyer. It is still in highly original, terrific condition.

It is one of only 49 made with a fuel injected engine similar to the engine in the 300SL Gullwing. This car cost $16,000 when new – more than a Rolls Royce or a Ferrari.

This wonderful classic car is still in the Bruce Meyer collection and sits near this Ferrari.
