The buyers were out in numbers this past weekend in Arizona and they brought their money. This resulted in a few public sale records.
In addition to the purple Iso Grifo which sold for $352,000 there were a few other interesting cars:
The green Maserati Ghibli Spyder sold for $880,000.
The Lamborghini Miura SV sold for $1.1 million. This may not be a record but it is close.
A Ferrari 250 GT Lusso sold for $880,000.
The BMW 507 sold for $962,500.
A Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing alloy body sold for $4.6 million.
A Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider sold for $3.55 million.
And the 1965 Shelby GT 350 Mustang which has been in storage for 30 years sold for $385,000.
It was a good weekend to sell a classic car and it seems the buyers were happy too.
The prices include the buyers commission paid to the auction company.
