The Porsche 901 Prototype Wins Best In Class At Pebble Beach – Update

by Mike –

It was a dark and foggy morning today in Pebble Beach and every car that drove onto the field was wet. That did not deter Don and Diane Meluzio from getting their Porsche 901 Prototype (the only one in existence) ready for the judging. Their efforts paid off with a class win as it did at Amelia Island earlier this year.

It is no surprise to me that this very special Porsche 901 (911) wins best in class at Pebble Beach in the Porsche 911 Road Car class. This is after all the oldest Porsche “911” in existence and it has been perfectly restored by it’s current owners.

Update on the Porsche 901 Prototype – another award

This earliest of all Porsche 911s also won the award for “Most Historically Significant Automobile” at Pebble Beach this year!
