The Ferrari Drogo Navarro Special NART Was Originally A 330 GT 2+2

I thought you might like to see what the GoldenCar looked like before night club owner, Norbert Navarro, commissioned a complete re-body of his Ferrari 330GT 2+2 to the form we see here today (thanks to Chris L. for the background on this unique Ferrari). I do not know if his 330GT 2+2 was a dual headlight or quad headlight version and I don’t think it really matters.

Below are photos of two different 330GT 2+2s taken at Concorso Italiano (one a dual headlight and the other a quad headlight version) just a few feet away from the Ferrari Drogo GoldenCar Navarro Special NART.

We can now see what Drogo and Mr. Navarro started with and where they wound up. I still don’t know why this car has a NART badge.

    I didn’t know about Ferraris 300 GT 2+2. I know the 330 GT Coupe and 330 GT 2+2. Are you sure they are 300?

    • I am sure it is 330GT NOT 300GT. Thank you for pointing out my typo mistake. This is a problem with copy & paste and trying to work too fast and not having an editor except readers. Thank you Jaime.

  2. So how did it get the later 365 Gt 2+2 tail lights and engine vents they weren’t out yet?

    • but it is a 330 interior so how did they get those tail lights?

    • Chris said the GoldenCar was built in 1969 maybe they used later parts?

      Because the Navarro was rebodied, not in the early 60s, the ugliest cars were made in the late 60s and early 70s.
      Today, the designers are fighting for the ugliest design, but not in those days.
      I used to have a 1963 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2, it was very ugly but not that much.
      Forgive my english, I’m kind of rusty, since I don’t go to Monterey in August. 17 years was enough.

      • I agree that in the 1970s car companies started a race to design the ugliest car and this was led by American car companies. Let’s don’t forget the Mustang II.

    FIAT parts. lots of parts on that age Ferraris were FIAT Mftg. or O.E.M. factories, like Marelli, Geager, Cromodora, Etc.
