This Is The 1,001 Post On My Car Quest

by Mike –

Earlier today was the 1,000th Post on My Car Quest in less than 3 years of publishing.

This milestone just snuck up on me. Fortunately my software counts the Posts and other stuff like the 2,079 approved Comments.

Now that the celebration is over below are photos of two cars sold on My Car Quest leaving for their new home.

This Alfa Romeo Spider above and below is leaving the home of Richard Flasck in Toledo, Ohio and heading for Washington State.

The new owner is Ivan Ruiz who lives in a small town in Georgia that I had not heard of before. But it is actually well known in certain circles and by total coincidence you will be able to read about this small town in a special article tomorrow (Post number 1,002).

It is a small world after all.

My friend Darren Frank sent me this photo below of his Iso Grifo at the recent Hilton Head Concours d’Elegance. He is parked next to a beautiful 1968 Maserati Mistral Spyder owned by Ivan Ruiz – yep the same Ivan Ruiz who just bought my Iso Grifo but had not yet received it.

They also ran into the new owner of the Iso Grifo Targa sold recently on My Car Quest.

  1. Don Meluzio says

Mike, Your website is becoming quite “The” place to sell your car!! I also like the fact that some of your west coast isos are coming East!

    • Thanks Don – as we used to say “it’s a happening place” (meaning My Car Quest).

I know you and other Iso lovers are happy to see the Grifo center of gravity start to shift to the right coast. This means the rest of us will have to travel east sometimes!

  2. There is a Ying and Yang to it more Bizzarrinis will be coming west 🙂

  3. Love your website as your track cars of my interest as I own an Iso Grifo. I also am the original owner of a 1966 Sprint by Fitch (Corvair) a very rare and fun car. The “poor man’s Porsche”.

  4. Mike,

I have known Ivan for years in Maserati circles. I sold him a Ghibli and a Bora years ago. He will be a great addition to the Iso family! I also met Darren at Hilton Head and had a very nice conversation.

  5. congrats Mike beautiful work, unique!

  6. I had the pleasure of seeing both the Iso and Ivan’s Mistral Spider when I was judging at the Hilton Head Concours a couple of weeks ago. I’m an Italian car lover but I had a thrill judging the Porsche racing class with racing great, Hurley Haywood, Jens Walther, CEO of Porsche Motorsports NA and all around good guy, Ray Morgan of Atlanta.
We’d love to have all Maserati and Italian car aficionados come to Cincinnati for the Ault Park Concours d’Elegance on Sunday, June 8th, 2014 where we will have a special display celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Maserati. You can check us out at http://www.ohioconcours.com

  7. Mike,

Would you like some pictures from the HH Concours?
