Happy 50th Anniversary To The Iso Grifo In Italy

by Mike –

There is a big celebration this weekend in Bresso, Italy commentating the 50th anniversary of the Iso Grifo at the former Iso factory. Unfortunately I am not there as I was for an Iso event in 2013.

The black and white photos below of the Iso Grifo A3/L Prototype were taken by Ron Kellogg, the owner at the time, in the mid-1970s.

We will also be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Iso Grifo production at Concorso Italiano on August 15 during Monterey Car Week where visitors will see the Grifo A3/L Prototype along with many other beautiful Grifos, including my own.

  1. Dan Rinker says

I really appreciate My Car Quest, Mike. I have been exposed to a car that up until when I was introduced to the newsletters was just a Matchbox car! But… earlier in the week my wife bought the latest issue of Classic and Sports Car magazine. In the issue (April 2015) is an article about an Iso A3/C. 7000 rivets put the body together! And… just like the Cessna 150 I used to own, they’re not even counter-sunk! Have you done an article about the riveted body cars that I might have missed?

  2. Thank you Dan. At this link is a summary of the Iso Grifo A3/C – https://mycarquest.com/2014/07/the-iso-grifo-a-legend-part-two.html

  3. I’m assuming they don’t make this car anymore, right? Very cool, yet simple.
