Monterey Car Week Map

by Mike Gulett –

Monterey Car Week starts less than 7 weeks from now. It should be a great week for classic car lovers, all others should probably not be in the Monterey area that week.

Below is a map of the Monterey area with major events located on the map, supplied by SeeMonterey.com

Read our previous post for a listing of all the events – Monterey Car Week Events For 2019.

You will not be able to attend most of the events or maybe not even all of the events you want to attend – so choose carefully the events on your list. And plan on spending more time in traffic and looking for a parking space than you anticipate.

Besides the recent US Open golf tournament (which does not happen every year in Pebble Beach) this is the busiest week of the year for the Monterey Peninsula. Local business owners are thrilled but all local residents may not be so happy.

For two of the events–both German car events, to get in with my car (not showing the car but spectator ) I had to drive on a path meant for golf carts that dug into my mag wheels. So before entering an event it might be wise to do recon on foot to see on what surface you are expected to drive. If it’s bad, park on the perimeter and walk in…

  2. Exotics on Cannery Row the fastest growing event of the Monterey week has moved and will be held on Broadway Street in Seaside this year. Congrats to Seaside for stepping up and making this possible. Cannery Row, well your streets will be empty this year and parking will be wide open.

Cannery Row is going to have some Dodge event on the 17th. Imagine the surprise of the tifosi when they motor over there in their Ferraris only to be surrounded by Hemi Cudas and the like! I think if the complaint I heard about last year experiencing rowdiness. I wonder how this new crowd scores in that department?
