I know you all have been waiting for Part 2 – here it is!
Is this really a grille on this Ferrari? I was taking a picture of the color scheme which I have never seen before but the owner told me this was from the factory.
What a beautiful Alfa Romeo, by Ghia, and look at the close up detail of this grille below. This would be a big job to polish.
This Ford has a fog light in the middle of the grille.
Both the Graham above and the Lamborghini below have two grilles, although in completely different configurations.
If you ever get a chance you will want to look at an Iso Rivolta GT grille. The grille is hand made for each car so one grille cannot be used on another car. It is also a delicate work of art that is just perfect.
Bentley wrote the book on grille design – it is a marque trademark copied by some other manufacturers.
I had to include this picture of a Tatra because one does not see these cars very often.
I am a big fan of the 1963-1965 Buick Riviera, I think I mentioned before that I had a 1965 Riviera slot car when I was a kid. Maybe that is why I like the 1965 version below with the headlights hidden behind the clam shells just a little better that the 1963-1964 versions where the headlights are exposed.
See Part 1 of Grilles.
