We All Love Good Car Pictures

by Mike –

In going through my photo archive I came across some photos that I should have published before. I also found some interesting photos on the Internet that I thought you all might like.

Below is a Ferrari 250 GTO that was at The Amelia Island Concours recently and below that is the winningest Shelby Cobra Daytona in history, also at Amelia Island.

Which one would you rather own? The Cobra is much more rare as there were only six made compared to 39 for the 250 GTO.

However, the Ferrari would set you back about $30 million and the Cobra only about $10 million. I am guessing here because the last Cobra Daytona sold at public auction went for $7.7 million but this car is maybe a little more special because of its race history.

If these two cars raced today which one would win? That is a great question I wish two owners would get together and give us all the answer.

The Amelia Island event was a perfect chance to determine which one is the fastest because they were only a short distance from Sebring and there were plenty of professional race car drivers around who I am sure would have loved to help out. Well, maybe next time. These two photos above are from examiner.com.

Below is a photo of the beautiful Abarth Simca owned and restored by Les Burd during the painting process. This photo was sent to me by Les.

Below is Martyn L. Schorr’s Ford GT which he acquired after he sold his one of a kind Iso Grifo. Great color combination and I love the license plate. Well done Marty and thanks for the photo.

How about a modern reproduction Porsche 904 GTS? This one below was in Classic Driver today.

While I was on the Amelia Island web site I found this picture of the SoCal Hot Rod, I believe it is owned by Bruce Meyer. Photo by Rashba.com.

And finally how about a Bentley SUV that was shown at the Geneva Auto Show recently. This is unusual for Bentley and it will likely cost $200,000 or more. This is a little expensive to use to run the kids around to their piano lessons.

Would you even let children ride in the back with their ice cream cones and other stuff that kids have on them?
