Darren Frank found this photo below of the only Iso Grifo produced after the Iso factory closed.
This photo was published in 1983 in The Griffon, the publication of the Iso & Bizzarrini Owner’s Club, in issue Volume 3, No. 2 & 3.
I happen to have a collection of all Griffons so I found this photo and scanned it for your viewing pleasure.
Winston Goodfellow explains in the Griffon, “One Grifo was constructed after the factory closed by Ennazeta, a firm comprised of several factory employees who acquired parts inventory upon liquidation of the company’s assets.”
This Iso Grifo was black with tan interior and had these features: Ford 351 engine, 5-speed transmission, recessed black rubber front bumper, reworked trunk (spare to one side) which allowed access via a flip down door between it and the rear deck and a different dash board design.
Compare this old photo above to the way the car looks today below after a Salvatore Diomante restoration and remodeling.
My thanks to Darren for posting this on the IsoBizz Group.

~ i have encountered posts on this car a couple of times today and several times recently. it seems to become more beautiful each time i view it. when you speak of art and autos this is among my first visions.
Hi , for info, i remember being in Milan picking up parts for my grifo at that time ( 198?) .
This car was stored and finished in a -1 garage box , together with iso parts .
After speaking with Roberto Negri and Axel Gottschalk , those were the people who bought most of the old factory stock including some brand new unfinished Fidia’s bodys, i traded a 351 cleveland engine for a new old stock big block hood with air scoop .
The engine was meant to be for this 413 grifo!
I might have some pictures out of the old box from that.
I finally used this 7 litri air scoop hood for my series 2 targa grifo .
Gr Alexander
I would love to see your photos. When you find them email them to mike@mycarquest.com.
Thank you.
Mike, thanks for the photo credit. I think the new version of this car is beautiful, but it’s really a shame that it’s not in its original configuration, for historical reasons. This new version is a complete fantasy, as nice as it is.

I think this Grifo is beautiful. I just hope the new owner knows what they are getting.
