I like this car but would like to know more about the history. This car has a romantic appeal because of Grace Kelly driving one in the movie To Catch A Thief.

Comments

  1. What a beautiful and stylish car. I suspect it cannot be had for $40,000 – what do you think?

  2. What a great looking car and a terrific color combination. How cool is it to have John Fitch’s autograph on your car?

  3. OK, one bid at $40K but the reserve is not met. I would guess the seller has the reserve set at $50K, what do you think? There are 3 days left.

    • I used to have one of these back in1960. I had a lot of mechanical problems and being a reckless lad, I had the engine and tranny removed and put in a 265 Chevy with a Olds transmission. 3 spd. It was a banshee and handled
beautifully. It could out perform some corvettes on the autocross races because of its weight. Little or no wheel spin in the corners. Finally blew the clutch out as well as running out of money. Traded it for a1941 Cadillac sedan.
Dumbest thing I ever did. Besides selling my 58 Impala convertible. Told ya I was a reckless lad, now I have to add stupid as well.

  4. I think this car has some of the most beautiful lines of any car I have seen. I first became aware of it from watching “To Catch a Thief” and have wanted one ever since. It just seems to be a beautiful classic from any vantage point.

  5. Does anyone know who currently owns this car?

  6. Len Beatens says

    • Lionel Burrell says
