The Mangusta Arrives In Vienna, Austria

by Mike –

Herbert P. of Vienna, Austria, a regular reader of My Car Quest, bought this De Tomaso Mangusta earlier this year after reading about it on My Car Quest.

He sent in these photos taken the day the Mangusta arrived in Vienna and had this to say,

Yeehaa, today in the morning (one hour ago) the goose finally arrived at my home in Vienna!

I did not check the car already but obvious is that the doorkey is missing. I hope this will be one of the the minor issues.

Unfortunately the guys from the shipping company soiled the interior of the car pretty much but I am confident that it can be cleaned.

Dear Mike, Congratulations to Herbert on finally seeing his Mangusta arrive in Austria, and as an ex-Mangusta owner I know how much fun he will have with it.

You may recall my earlier email on this car as I was the underbidder when it sold on Ebay, and the only reason I didn’t bid higher was that the seller wouldn’t respond to some fairly elementary questions. I raise this point only because, in a general sense, if any seller wants to maximise the price they achieve when selling their car they need to show a high level of transparency and responsiveness, particularly to bidders from overseas who may need to base much on trust.

    Best regards,

    Anthony
