Today I attended the Carmel Concours-on-the-Avenue in Carmel-by-the-Sea. I will publish photos of that on another day.
Here are my photos of interesting cars on the streets – not in the show – parked on the street or driving around.
This year I was struck by how many cars I have seen around the area parked on the street with a for sale sign. In the last 2 days I have seen at least 7 cars for sale on the streets.
I am sure most of you know the make and model of all of these cars.
Cars spotted today (15 August 2017).
Cars spotted 12 – 14 August 2017.
Let us know what you think in the Comments.
I will be at the Carmel Mission Classic with the Lamborghini Espada on Wednesday 16 August.
The SWB Ferrari parked at the curb with no guards was class. Moss raced a blue one that looked like that .
Maybe the sale signs are folks wisely selling fine cars to pay for a house in Carmel. Expect it would take an especially fine car to achieve that dream. Maybe the SWB.
I was there last year, and saw the same thing. I think that you simply have a lot of cars there at the same time, and potential sellers see an opportunity to get a good price from the local well to do people, that might ” catch the fever” of classic/vintage car ownership.
Both the caliber of wallet size, and the vehicle type, are well represented at that show, down by the entrance to the beach.
Be sure and catch the tiny car show, usually on Wed or Thursday. I saw Wayne Carini there, a really nice man, and what a great show as well.
