As I was browsing the RM Sotheby’s web site looking for the Aston Martin DB GT Zagato they reportedly have for auction I came across not one but two Bizzarrini examples for auction in Monterey.
They both look to be rare models, actually any authentic Bizzarrini is rare but these two are rare even in the Bizzarrini world.
One is an A3/C with the rare riveted aluminum body, and it is green, which is also rare in the Bizzarrini world. The second one is a P538 that is painted blue rather than red.
Did I mention these Bizzarrinis are rare?
1965 Iso Grifo A3/C
Estimate: $750,000 – $1,000,000 USD
RM Sotheby’s Writes:

1976 Bizzarrini P538
Estimate: $450,000 – $550,000 USD

Discovered in France during the early 1990s, this P538 was later examined in 2009 by noted Bizzarrini authority Jack Koobs de Hartog in an effort to clarify the car’s early history prior to restoration. After carefully inspecting the chassis and construction methods, Koobs de Hartog presented detailed photographs of the unrestored frame, body, and components to Giotto Bizzarrini himself, who immediately recognized the hallmarks of his workmanship, confirming he had constructed the chassis in the 1970s and that his wife, Rosanna, had fabricated the striking bodywork to Giorgetto Giugiaro’s original design.
