I found this Porsche 914 video advertisement from the 1970s at Autominded.com. I laughed because just today I took a drive in my Bizzarrini and made a driving video – yes another one, it will be published soon.
The message in this advertisement, while funny now, did cause some small GT car companies to go out of business and the big car companies to change their model line from fun to boring in the 1970s because of gas prices.
I had a haircut and mustache like the guy in the video in the 1970s – hard to believe now but true.
Why did Porsche pick on Bizzarrini for this ad? Probably because Bizzarrini was small and could not do anything about it.

What a great ad – I’ll bet most people who saw this in the 1970s did not know this was a Bizzarrini or even what a Bizzarrini was!
