I have mentioned before that I think the Iso Rivolta GT is an underrated classic car. I owned an Iso Rivolta GT for nearly two years.
It spent a lot of that time in the shop going through a full mechanical restoration. When I did drive it I was amazed at how quick it was and people on the streets were shocked to hear that beautiful 327 Corvette engine sound coming from what looks like a family car.
People would follow me into a gas station to ask me about the car. At 100 MPH this GT cruises smoothly and comfortably like a modern car.
There were many beautiful examples at The Quail, A Motor Sport Gathering in August 2012 celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Iso GT.
Two My Car Quest readers recently wrote to me and sent in photos of their Iso Rivolta GTs.

Dear Mike
I am sending you some pictures of my 1964 Iso Rivolta IR300 Chassis No. 303. I bought the car this summer in Luxembourg. This car had a “restoration” in 2000 but there are lots of details to do again…
Best regards from Switzerland,
Aldo

Hello Mike,
Thank you for your interest in my Iso. I would have gotten back to you sooner, but after I contacted the Iso club my mechanic and I got the car running so well that I have been enjoying cruising on the weekends. I am sending you some photos.
Thanks, Kevin
