Here is my pick for the classic car for sale today that I would like to own. The Lamborghini Miura is on most classic car lovers short list of most beautiful and alluring classic cars. This car started a trend for mid-engine placement for super cars.
The Lamborghini Miura P400 was introduced at the 1966 Geneva motor show and was received extremely well even though it was not a running car at the time of the show.
The P400 is a 4-liter V12 producing 350 hp. The P400S introduced in 1968 produced 370 hp and the P400SV introduced in 1971 made 380 hp. The SV version also separated the motor oil and the transmission oil, which improved reliability.
Giotto Bizzarrini designed the V12 engine for Lamborghini with some modifications for practicality improvement by Gian Paolo Dallara.
There were 465 P400 versions made between 1966 and 1969, 138 of the P400S variations were produced between 1969 and 1971 and finally 148 of the P400SV were made between 1971 and 1972.

Bonhams says,
* Factory restored under the supervision of Valentino Balboni
* Restored to its original colour scheme
* The restoration is fully documented in an excellent file containing over 600 photographs
* Factory build sheets for the engine are on file
* The restoration took three years, consuming some 4,000 man-hours of labour and costing €160,000
This Lamborghini Miura is for sale at the Bonhams – Spa Classic Sale Auction on 25 May, 2013 in Belgium.
The Estimate is: €450,000 – 650,000 (£380,000 – 550,000) (US$ 580,000 – 840,000).

In this estimate price range is a world record for a P400 – this example may well be worth a world record price.
