Ferrari 250 GTO Driving DVD
Through this video you can experience the thrill of riding in a very rare and valuable Ferrari 250 GTO – these cars are worth $35 million, or more, today so getting a ride in one is not easy.
by Ron Kellogg –
You will enjoy the GTO ride, one of thirty-six produced from 1962 to 1964. These cars were not only elegant and stunning, but real race winners. This car only raced in two events: Le Mans 1963, where it finished 2nd overall, and 1st in GT Class at the 12 Hour race at Rheims. After one other owner it was sold to a lover of GTO’s, Mr. Tohru who lived in Japan and was the proud owner for 16 years.
During that time my wife and I had been offered the trip of our lives, so we had the honor of not only a super vacation, but also we received a three-hour drive in this very GTO. Mr. Tohru had received a few other cars from me over the years and we have become super friends, we really loved a visit we will always cherish and a drive most lovers of Ferraris seldom enjoy. Mr. Tohru gave me a tremendous thrill on a Japanese freeway where I believe we surpassed 130 mph as a GTO only has a tachometer and not a speedometer.
He asked me if I might be scared? Well, I think I did not answer his question, but asked what if he was to crash the car, he said as long as the S/N 4293 was there, the car still had value, what a friend? Hal Ha!
Also on this DVD you will enjoy around this same track, a ride in a Shelby 427 Cobra, and an added treat is a 1930s Alfa Romeo on the track, that may have been driven by Enzo Ferrari in the 1920s. Enzo Ferrari was the manager of the Alfa Romeo race team up until the late 1930s.

The Carrera Panamericana (1950-54) DVD
This is a documentary DVD of the very exciting Mexican road race of the early 1950s that was known as the most dangerous race in the world.
Excellent and very exciting video footage from races so long ago. The interview with John Fitch, who actually drove in the race, is worth the price alone. His quote about racing in the Carrera Panamericana and the Mille Miglia is priceless, “The driver is an optimist and the passenger is a pessimist.”
