This Aston Martin DB2/4 Mk III sold at the RM auction in Monterey this year for $440,000!
The estimate was $175,000 – $225,000. There is one happy seller and one determined buyer!
Based on what I saw when I took these photos and reading the RM description this Aston Martin was worth the price.
RM said,
178 hp, 2,922 cc DOHC six-cylinder engine with twin SU carburetors, dual exhaust, David Brown four-speed manual transmission, torsion bar independent front suspension with coil springs, live rear axle with coil springs and radius rods, and hydraulic front disc and Alfin rear drum brakes. Wheelbase: 99 in.

This Mk III is presented with only break-in miles since the superb and nuanced restoration, and it can be shown with great pride.
At the same time, it is conceived and equipped for performance and pleasure, and it is presented as a top-flight candidate for any of the popular vintage road rallies, such as the California Mille or Colorado Grand.
It is a left-hand-drive which is nice in most places and I love the black wire wheels. The RM listing is here.
