Yesterday I attended the Danville Concours d’Elegance and it was worth the long drive. I ran into several friends and saw many really terrific cars.
Here are some photos and there are more in the slide show below.

My friends used to live in a place called Danville California. Is this that place?
Yes, that is the place.
One of the best kept secrets of the car show world – Danville, CA has some of the finest collector cars in the world hidden through Alamo, Walnut Creek, and San Ramon area, all at the foothills of Blackhawk Museum (which itself is no slouch in the car world).
Where else but this show can you see the brand new $1.5M McLaren shown directly across from not one, but FIVE stunning Cords? And just 50 feet further down the road…Aventador contrasted against a Tri-carb 427 Vette and one owner Shelby GT-500. Go the other direction and marvel at Gordon Johnston’s one-off Saoutchik bodied Bentley and top it off with two dozen Ferraris.
Only in Danville. Free admission with the encouragement to donate to the Parkinsons Cause.
Rafffi,
I am sorry I missed you in Danville! I agree this is one of the best SF Bay Area car events that does not get the attention it deserves. That is why I write it about every year.
