Dont’ sell it !
Wonderful car!!!
OK, I have to ask. What are you going to replace it with ?
Hi Mark,
it will be replaced with Grifo # 036,which I purchased 3 years ago in Stockholm,Sweden. It’s a very special car for me,because #36 was the first Grifo in my life. When it was presented in Germany 1966 at the one and only official Iso dealer in Germany,I was there together with my father, sitting in the car and my thoughts were:”The day will come….” 43 years later, this dream come true. In 2014 I decided to bring #36 back to it’s former glory…as it left the factory,as I first saw it when I was a 13years old boy.
This nut & bold work will be finished this summer and that’s the reason for offering #147 now (Not an easy decision…)
Honestly said,I can only replace a Grifo with another one 😉
Best regards from germany
Helmut
The car is clearly lovely but the history alone is worth the price of admission…
love the car. engine compartment could use some work and get rid of all the Walmart acessories put it to proper form
Front fender mirror is not to my liking. would be a buyer at 375k
To the seller: Do not sell to Mr. Iannuccilli even at 450K. To insult you by saying he doesn’t like the Walmart accessories and the fender mirror?…..for such an historically beautiful car? It’s like looking at a house to purchase and saying I don’t like the paint color or the carpeting so I’m going to pass on the potential value of the home.
There was never no intentions of any insult whatsoever. my first sentence was I LOVE THE CAR. I commented on the air cleaner and valve covers as original is not Moroso. I commented I don’t like fender mirrors, I would not change it I just prefer no fender mirror. this is a comment page! IF someone was offended by my comment I was not trying to offend anyone. next time I make a comment I will be extremely careful not to offend anyone on this blog. Again AS I STATED BEFORE I LOVE THE CAR!
That car is just right. Italian design and a meaty 350 hp American V8 sound and pull. What a car. Congrats on nearing completion of your boyhood dream car. Not too many people are able to accomplish such a bucket list check mark.
Very interesting details and wonderful dedication. I learn more everyday from all of you with experience and intelligence. Thanks, pimm
