by Mike –
I went to Pebble Beach early today for the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. I had to see the Bizzarrini class and the Ford GT40 assembly.
The weather was excellent for a car show – overcast, cool and no smoke from the wildfire.
Here are some of my photos from the day and yes, there will be more published later but for now I am very tired and have started on a nice red wine.
Also, later in the week I will publish photos from other Monterey Car Week events.
Let us know what you think in the Comments.
Hi Mike. We spent today in Carmel. Too many people to go to the Concours.
Hope you had a great day with all if those exotics in Pebble Beach.
Carmel was just loaded with Lambo’s, Ferrari’s and Porsches.
Hi Mike
Thanks for stopping by on Tuesday at
Concours on The Avenue. I think that was one of the biggest turn outs
of spectators. I felt kinda lonely being the only Jaguar sports car there.
Oh well, next year maybe Vintage Races.
Enjoy your daily blog.
Cheers!
Geoffrey
Hi Mike. Thanks for posting all the pix from Pebble – the one place I didn’t get to during Car Week. As you mentioned, the weather was perfect for taking pictures (in the mornings) – the overcast skies creating the perfect photo studio soft box. I haven’t looked at overall auction sales numbers yet (guessing they may be a little softer than last year) but judging by the throngs of people everywhere & the $79 hotel rooms going for $400-600 a night, the Passion for great cars is still Hot-Hot-Hot!
Lovely pics Mike , hope it was a good drop of red . How about the telephone numbers price number one Shelby made !!!!!!!!!!!!!
The red wine was great and – the very first Shelby Cobra sells for $13.75 million, a new record for an American car!!
