I saw my first Singer Porsche just a few months ago and they are amazing.
Recently during Monterey Car Week I attended an event where there were several Singer Porsches on display. Here are my iPhone photos from that evening.
Below is from the Singer web site.
Singer Vehicle Design was founded in 2009 to explore the creative possibilities within the vibrant world of the classic automobile.
Since 2009 our focus – indeed obsession – has been the development of a meticulously restored and optimized air-cooled 911. Our lofty objective: to distill, enhance and recombine the strands of greatness that have long marked the 911 as iconic.
Mission Statement
Combining our own unique perspective and our clients’ sources of inspiration, each vehicle is a truly unique and bespoke commission. But each car has three elements in common.Restored – strength, vitality and purity of purpose are restored to every component.
Reimagined – the delicacy of the ’63 original, the race-bred chic of the ‘70s, the solidity of the ‘80s and the sophistication of the ‘90s, are reimagined in a singular jewel-like car.
Reborn – the air-cooled 911, with every dial ‘turned up to eleven’ is reborn to its rightful position in the modern automotive hierarchy.”
Many of the body panels of a customer supplied 1989-1994 Porsche 911 Coupe or Targa are replaced with carbon fiber.
The engine options are: 3.8-liter, 300 horsepower, 3.8-liter, 350 horsepower, with Individual Throttle-bodies (intended for off-road use only in certain territories), or 4.0-liter, 390 horsepower (intended for off-road use only in certain territories).
The doorframes, and all exterior and interior bright work are nickel-plated which gives these Porsches a unique look.
There are many more performance and aesthetic upgrades including a very cool interior design. Visit the Singer web site for all the details. And you can be sure they are very fast and they certainly are expensive.
The event was held at a beautiful home that is for sale listed by our friend, Judity Profeta of Alain Pinel Realtors, in Carmel, California.

If I had the money, I would own one!
I agree Art. In fact I sometimes think about “what the hell” sell all the other cars and put them into this one. Watching any of the Singer videos on YouTube can start my heart racing all over again. I love my air cooled 911 cabrio, but this is a whole new universe.
Taking the obsession to a higher level, do the owner of these cars dare drive them? I heard each car comes bolted to a pedestal.
