Yesterday was the Carmel Concours-on-the-Avenue in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea which is always on Tuesday of Monterey Car Week. The weather was near perfect and warmer than usual for this seaside village. The sun was bright and caused some glare in many of my photos as you can see below.
There were many terrific cars, from European exotics and race cars to hot rods. Many people were there but it was not too crowded. I spent a lot of time catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. I went with my friend Tom (I drove the AC Cobra) and afterwards we had lunch at a favorite restaurant and later more drinks at another establishment.
This event is free for spectators and downtown Carmel is closed to traffic and filled with classic cars. The businesses all stay open so looking at cars on the street and visiting the shops and restaurants is easy and fun. The biggest problem is finding parking but it is worth the effort.
Here are some of my photos from this great day and this is the link to the Carmel Concours-on-the-Avenue web site.

Thanks Mike. Excellent assortment of cars, wonderful place. Funny how even when I know all the cars in your large selection, my eye surprised me and goes back to something unusual. I want the Buick Woody.
