I have written articles about the Radnor Hunt Concours before. This year like so many Concours, Radnor Hunt was cancelled. The organizers decided to have a little get together for some of the most loyal participants. They planned on having 25 cars, and 6 Motorcycles so it could be just a small gathering.
Masks were worn by all, the cars were 15 to 20 feet apart, and social distancing was practiced by everyone. I have said so many times in previous articles I love all the guys who organize the event, and there is just a very friendly attitude that you can’t help but have a good time. It also helps that my wife and I grew up 15 minutes away from Radnor! There was a diversified group of cars, and some really cool Motorcycles.
There was a group of Packards who all pulled in together, some of them driving from about 40 miles away. I talked to one of the guys and said, “I can’t believe you guys drove here.” He said it was a piece of cake! “I did 60 miles an hour on my way here! My hat is off to guys who aren’t afraid to drive their 100 year old cars.
It was a fun day, I got a chance to see a lot of my buddies, saw some great cars, and a very eclectic group of Motorcycles. I guess that will hold me over until next years Radnor Hunt Concours in September of 2021.
