The Day before the Pebble Beach Concours.

The Pebble Beach Concours announced two events on the day preceding their famed concours: a Ferrari Parade and Concorso Ferrari. Ferrari picked more than 60 historic and contemporary models. There will be plenty of race cars plus GT cars. And of course they will roll out two of what they call the “Ferrari Icona” limited series — the Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2 and of course there will be the original Monzas of the ’50s.
This will also be where they have the North American premiere of the Ferrari 296 GTB — only the second hybrid-electric production car in Ferrari history.
The parade culminates at Casa Ferrari, the center of Ferrari activities during Pebble Beach Automotive Week about 500 feet away from the green used for the concours.
At the concours itself there will be more than 100 Ferraris split between the 1st and 18th Fairways. Viewing the Ferrari parade and the cars on view at Casa Ferrari is
free, providing you already paid your way into the Pebble Beach gate.
I spoke to Pebble Beach people…they said the Ferrari parade will now start between 2 and 3 pm. It will all be within Pebble Beach and not a tour of 17-mile Drive. They also clarified that the Casa Ferrari is the low tan building on a golf green not the old gas station on Highway 1 that was the original Casa Ferrari. They said spectators can see the parade for free and the cars when parked on the green for free but only those with special access passes can enter Casa Ferrari. Parking is in Concours Village, no more than a few blocks away.
