With the many car events canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic we will not see the car action we are accustomed to at this time of year. I thought it would be a good idea to reach back into the My Car Quest archives and occasionally re-post certain articles with photos of interesting cars and events to help us get through.
This is the seventh of the My Car Quest Archives Series – A Fine Day At The Hillsborough Concours d’Elegance in 2014.
This was one of the years I did not show a car. My Bizzarrini GT 5300 won the Owner’s Choice Award in 2011 and my blue Iso Grifo won its class in 2015.

Yesterday I spent an excellent afternoon with a friend browsing the Hillsborough Concours d’Elegance. For the first time in a few years I did not take a car for display.
At 58 consecutive years this is the longest continuously running Concours d’Elegance in the world.
Here are some eye catchers.
The Maserati 200SI race car is one of the most beautiful of race cars if not the most successful.
A car company has to be supremely confident to name a model “Superfast”. Supremely confident seems to be part of the DNA of Ferrari.
What a rear view!
Last year I drove the Bizzarrini GT 5300 to this event and arranged to be placed next to Iso Grifo No. 009 – both Class Winners at The Quail, A Motor Sport Gathering in August 2012.
This year was a little more relaxing and we could come and go as we pleased without the responsibility of a car on display. I am glad that many others were happy to take on that responsibility.
Below is a slide show with more of the cars.
