I believe this is the first time that there has been a Bizzarrini class at The Quail, A Motor Sport Gathering.

There were some great examples on display. It is rare to see so many Bizzarrini cars in one place. Click the images for a larger view.

The car above won it’s class at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in 1998.

1966 Bizzarrini GT 5300 Strada

The car above won the Owner’s Choice Award at The Hillsborough Concours d’Elegance in 2011.

It also is my Bizzarrini and the Bizzarrini Class Winner for The Quail, A Motor Sport Gathering, 2012.

Valentino Balboni, the famous former Lamborghini test driver, stopped to say congratulations but I do not have a photo, just the memory. He also spent some time with me last year in Monterey as he explained that a silver Bizzarrini GT 5300 that he saw as a young man sparked an interest in cars that led to his career.
