My Favorite Comments On My Car Quest – Installment 2

by Mike –

I recently started reading the My Car Quest comments from the beginning and I am surprised at what I have forgotten.

This comment thread is from 1959 Fiat Abarth Zagato 750 Record Monza Bialbero published on February 20, 2011.

“Mike, I just purchased a ’59 Record Monza that is in original condition. It has the single cam motor, originally sold in the US. I would love to get in contact with Don or at least get some tip/sources for his restoration work.”

~~~
I believe that I introduced Rob Sloan to Greg Paris who wrote this post and once owned this car that is now owned by Don Meluzio. Greg was always generous with his time and considerable knowledge about cars.
Don was showing this beautiful Abarth at Pebble Beach in 2006.
Greg Paris was one of the most knowledgeable people in the world about the Abarth marque and Abarth history. He had owned many Abarths in his life including one of the Cunningham race cars.
In a few weeks it will be the first anniversary of the passing of Greg Paris, a dear friend for more than 30 years. His family and friends miss him.
We spread his ashes on a hill over looking the Laguna Seca cork screw.
  1. Don Meluzio says
    Mike, I am so glad you brought this article back. It’s so good to see a picture of Greg again. As you said, a really knowledgeable Abarth guy. He knew that something more was needed on the internet for Abarth owners and he started Abarth Enthusiast Worldwide, or AEW . I know we all miss Greg. Don
  2. Glad you’ve brought back this post. It’s nice to see the photo again.
