The German police have released the Iso Grifo that Coys attempted to sell at auction recently to the owner/seller. But the investigation continues.
It is for sale now at a dealer in Germany, presumably the owner.
Here is the description from their web site translated to English.
Rare ISO Grifo Coupe, for sale from a collection. The car received a new service in 2014, a new TÜV (German legally mandated biannual technical inspection), as well as historic license plate, paint, leather, chrome in very good condition, color blue metallic / leather beige, a very nice interior, everything original, the car drives and shifts very nicely, the beautiful 8-cylinder pulls perfectly with its 490Nm of torque at only 3600 rpm. The mileage indicated is the mileage on the odometer. Between 1965 and 1974 exactly 402 cars were built , therefore an ideal car for a collection will keep its value if maintained well, especially since Grifos are rarely offered for sale, since most are already owned by collectors.
They do not mention the serious problem with the changed chassis number and stating that this Grifo is “all original” is not correct as we know it does not have the original engine.

It’s missing it’s Griffon on the front of the nose
What else may be missing, in addition to the factory chassis number?
