The streets of Carmel and Monterey are more interesting during Monterey Car Week because many people drive their classic cars around town and park them on the streets or in a parking lot. These classics are actually used for transportation! At least during this week.
Here are a few photos of some of those classic cars that I saw on the streets last week. I did see more but was not fast enough with the camera.
More photos are in the slide show below.

The red car in the rear view mirror is an OSCA MT4
O.K. My english is not as good as I wanted. N° 4 Photo is a Gineta, the Ford Van is 1941, and the last one is a TVR.
Nice photos. I used to go to Monterey for 13 or 14 years, my economic situation didn’t let me. But I didn’t forget what a great time I have there. Thanks for the memories.
My thanks to both Chris and Jaime for the help identifying some of these cars. I knew that Ford panel van didn’t look exactly like a ’39 or ’40 but wasn’t sure. The other models: OSCA, Gineta and TVR are not common on the streets – even in Carmel and Monterey!
Mike, great seeing you and the gang in Monterey. These are memories that last a lifetime!
The “unknown” car in the last photo looks to me like a Corvette-powered Lucra, unless I’m mistaken.
