Porsche, Porsche, Porsche – three days of racing in Fontana California
Text and photos by Richard Bartholomew –
The seventeenth annual California Festival of Speed is a three day rain or shine event that brings together Porsches en masse and it was all sunshine. The Porsche Owners Club and the Porsche Club of America came together April 20th through 22nd and filled the track with color as usual.
With lots of racing on the big track, a 55 years of 911 Timeline display, an autocross parking lot cone course with instructors, a Porsche swap meet and a Porsche corral. The festival organizers put a lot of effort into providing a full weekend for the entire family to enjoy and they succeeded!
The parking lots along the driveway that leads to the track area were filled with vendors and even a huge radio controlled race track that isn’t the usual fair. They had the go cart track, the drag strip and the driving exotics areas going strong. A very full weekend indeed.
If you missed it, take heart Bimmerfest is coming May 26th and 27th.
Enjoy the photos.
