In January of this year I was contacted by Peter Tomalin the managing editor of Vantage Magazine, an independent Aston Martin magazine in the U.K.
He wanted to use some of my photos from my 2000 trip to the Aston Martin DB7 factory in Bloxham, England. Naturally I said yes because he promised me a free copy of the magazine! I sent the photos and he later asked me to write something about the visit so I did that too. Then I promptly forgot about it.
A few days ago this magazine appeared in the mail. I did not know why until I reached page 66 where four of my photos and a short description of my visit to the Aston Martin factory were located at the end of a several page article about the DB7 on its 20th anniversary.
I read several articles in this issue and I signed up for a subscription – so I send them photos and text and then I send them money for more magazines. Is this how it should work?
Sure, it is just fine with me – this is the Vantage Magazine web site – check it out.
Big difference from a real assembly line of the “real” big boy assembly lines
Gotta get their numbers up to be with the big boys, or do they?
This factory was closed when the DB7 was finished. Aston Martins are all made in a modern factory in Gaydon, England.
