As I mentioned recently I have extra time on my hands like many of you I suspect. I used some of this time a few days ago to sort through all of my Lamborghini Espada service records (43 years of records from the previous owner plus the four years I have added for a total of 47 years).
On Tuesday I took the Espada out for a drive along with my GoPro video camera. I went alone for safety sake so I had to handle the camera myself. It was a sunny day and there was more traffic than I expected, as you can see in the video, considering the shelter-in-place orders we are under here in California. The traffic slowed me down a little so I did not go as fast as the Espada would have liked.
You may see more of the driver’s sun visor in some parts of the video than desired but I do correct that eventually.
I hope you enjoy this video (3:12 long). Turn up the sound to hear the Lamborghini V12 along with some wind noise.
I hope all of you are staying safe yet also finding time to live and have some fun along the way.
LOVELY!!
Exercising our old cars is an “essential activity”.
The EV cars will never enjoy this lovely music!
I have the roads to myself where I live.
Mike, how do you mount your camera or phone to take these videos? Maybe you have a Gopro?
Yes, a GoPro with mounting hardware that sticks to the body or the glass.
Do you have an airplane, Mike?
Dan,
No airplanes but a hanger is a great place to store a car or two.
Mike, great video. Thanks for sharing. I really took notice of the Espada. What a great looking car inside and out. My daily driver is a Saleen but it’s been relegated to garage floor protection duty during the lock down. My real passion are on 2 wheels but Espada could make me a convert ))). Stay healthy and safe.
“garage floor protection duty“? Ha!!
The Espada can accommodate 3 friends unlike your 2 wheel vehicles. But they are both fun.
Mike, you are correct but don’t forget social distancing. It would be quite hard to maintain 6ft distance inside an Espada ))
Hi Mike ~I miss this car (and you). I so enjoyed our drive down the coast to Big Sur for lunch about a year ago. Hopefully we can do it again. Next time let me drive!
Tom,
We will do it again for sure – sooner than we think.
