Saturday morning I pulled the Bizzarrini out from its resting place to drive it about 30 yards to the Cars & Caffeine event at Club Auto Sport in San Jose, California.
Yes The Bizzarrini Really Is That Much Lower Than an XKE or an Iso Grifo
It still gives me chills to start up the Bizzarrini and to drive it even though this was not really a drive. It is a thrill to see how other people react to a Bizzarrini GT 5300 in motion.
Look at the young man in the black shirt at 2:12 on the video below and imagine how excited he was to see a Bizzarrini GT 5300 for the first time actually driving – and he can hear that engine – even at idle it is inspiring.
Why own a Bizzarrini GT 5300 instead of a Ferrari 275 GTB (or any number of other Ferrari models), or a Mercedes 300SL, or … ?
