Two readers sent in photos of the very special Bizzarrini Spyder Prototype – the owner and an admirer.

This is a special and unique Bizzarrini that gets everyones attention. These photos were taken at the Milwaukee Masterpiece Concours d’Elegance this past August.

Hi Michael,

Wallace Wyss, a friend of mine for over 30 years, has just published a book titled “Incredible Barn Finds”. He included a chapter about my two Bizzarrini Spyders and how I came to acquire them.

What I find fascinating is that Wally came across the only production Spyder shipped to the USA three times during the late 60’s thru the early 80’s in Detroit, Las Vegas and Malibu before and after I owned the car and before we ever met. He kept leaving notes on the car to contact the owner with never a response, until we met years later at Laguna Seca.

Here are a few photos of my 1966 Bizzarrini 5300 Spyder Stile Italia Prototype winning a Premier Award for the “Best Open Sports Car” out of more than 180 Special Classic and Europeans automobiles on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan at the Milwaukee Masterpiece Concours d’Elegance.

Honorary Judge and Master of Ceremonies was Mr. Bill Rothermel freelance writer for Car Collector, Old Car Weekly, Sport Car Market and Automobile Quarterly to name a few.

I have been following My Car Quest for quite a while now and thought you might like to have the attached photos that I took at the Milwaukee Masterpiece Concours d’Elegance, which was held on August 24 & 25 at Founders Park on the lakefront in Milwaukee, WI.

I believe you have featured this car before on April 12, 2012, July 5, 2012, and August 7, 2012, when it was just off a big win at Le Belle Macchine d’Italia at Mount Pocono, PA.

Just an extraordinary car in truly remarkable condition and beautiful to look at from any angle.
