by Mike –
I have been off line for a few days – literally without a broadband Internet connection because we moved from Monte Sereno to Carmel, California. Boxes are everywhere and it will take a few days to dig out from that!
Today at lunch I saw a large Porsche group drive by on Highway 1 and an MG gathering stopped for lunch at the same place we were relaxing.
I heard the races from Laguna Seca and horses from my house (at the same time) even though I live a few miles from the race track (and I did not know that my neighbors have horses).
This weekend at Laguna Seca was the “TUDOR United SportsCar Championship, America’s all-new premier sports car racing Series. The Series was created by the merger of the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car and American Le Mans organizations”, according to the Mazda Laguna Seca web site.
I hope to be back on track with regular posting by tomorrow.
Congrats Mike,
What a great place to live and enjoy cars. There is no better road to drive than Hwy one from Carmel to Cambria and your just a few miles from it.
Mike
Thank you – I plan to make that drive again once the boxes are clear!
Mike, great place to live.
Are you near Corral de Tierra? We went to a reunion at a friends house there yesterday.
Today I spent all day at Laguna Seca watching the races.
Congratulations on your move. Great area.
Jim
Hi Mike,
as Mike and Jim already pointed out: great place to live! What a privilege 🙂
all the best

Hi Mike,
I can think of few better places to live! We’re very fond of that area – got to know it quite well from numerous visits to the Monterey area for the big Pebble Beach/Concorso Italiano etc weekend in the past. Sadly can’t do it this year, as we’re visiting family in NZ, but next year, who knows?
Love that drive down to Nepenthe & Big Sur!
I think I scared Chris away, the last time I saw him in Monterey we were doing tequila shots at the Baja Cantina 🙂
Baja Cantina has become one of my favorite places being a very short drive from home now.
