The ’67 Mustang is a nice design nostalgically but is it worth tooling up for a 2023 car? Some Brits think so and at the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show Charge Cars showed their prototype called the ’67 (notably not mentioning the Mustang name).
I wonder if Ford had a design patent on the shape (Detroit doesn’t automatically file design patents on each new design). If they are bent on conquering old Mustang fans why only limit production to 499 vehicles? The Charge Cars ’67 boasts 536 horsepower (400kW peak power) and an incredible 1120 lb-ft (1520 Nm) of torque.
Using 4iWD to deliver torque vectoring technology, the EV will accelerate to 60mph in 3.9 seconds (faster than any Mustang in the Sixties) and onto an electronically limited top speed of 150mph. The new body is made of steel, the range is 200 miles and no indication of the price but I suspect it is a lot.
Charge Cars is a British firm founded in 2016 and based in London.
What do you think about a new EV that looks like a classic car?

Will they offer this as an “Electric Bullet” model? If so, maybe they can include a sound track that mimics a 390 with a 4 speed. Future car guys may never know what it was like.
