Riverside’s big car event is coming up, and though it seems like a concours, it is more known as “The Car Guy’s Car Show” because it brings together all elements of the car hobby, described by them as “stunning Concours Winners, Hot Rods, Powerful Muscle Cars, Wild Exotics, Killer Customs, Rumbling Race Cars, Tricked Out Trucks, Blazing Motorcycles and so much more.” Awards are given to the top cars in every category.
The show takes place Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at 5445 Chicago Avenue Riverside, CA. I would say it is an actual castle, er, a house styled like a castle, with tower and such, dating back to the year 1921. This building is now the home of a program for rehabilitating students in a program called Team Challenge, students who had drug or alcohol problems and you can see the students working the show. Almost 90% of the money the show takes in goes to the program which boasts an over 80% success rate.
It’s a bit of a up-and-down terrain, but the view as you reach each hilltop makes it worth it.
This show, more than most, features famous personalities from the car world in the past including such celebs as Gene Winfield, Ed “Isky” Iskendarian, Linda Vaughn, Rick Dore, Sarah “Bogi” Lateiner, Ralph Holguin, and the most famous Car Guy in the world, Mike Brewer and his partner Ant Anstead from their global TV Show Wheeler Dealers. Scheduled this year as Grand Marshal is customizer and TV personality Chip Foose.
The amazing thing about this show is that a general admission ticket cost just $20. There are some other optional things like buying a pass that will entitle you to a fine meal outside but the basic price is remarkable when you consider the cost of other car shows. There are some additional events offered that weekend like a dinner, a “high tea” and such but it’s best to check their website to see what you want to attend.
Their website is at this link.
We have written about this event before – below are some of our past photos.
