The Porsche 911 Turbo has become a very popular collector car in the past few years and as a result they have appreciated significantly. RM Sotheby’s has one of the original prototypes made for the US market up for auction in Monterey next week.

Estimate is $300,000 – $400,000 – Without Reserve.
234 bhp, 2,993 cc SOHC air-cooled horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine with a single turbocharger and Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection, four-speed manual transmission, independent front and rear suspension, and front and rear ventilated disc brakes. Wheelbase: 89.4 in.
Last of four U.S.-specification 930 prototypes
Featured in numerous publications, as well as in Porsche advertising

RM also has a 1986 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe at the same auction in Monterey with an estimate of $180,000 – $220,000 – without reserve.
Here on the My Car Quest Auction Online we have a beautiful 1986 Porsche 930 Turbo up for auction. This one looks like a real bargain especially when all costs are considered (the hammer price plus the added commissions).

Oh, I wish I still had mine! I don’t know that I would’ve ever sold it, but the value of Porsche Turbos have gone up in value many times over. Especially if it’s in great condition and is all original. This is definitely one car that you will get your money’s worth.
