The Hillsborough Concours d’Elegance has turned into the best Concours in the San Francisco Bay Area. A few years ago it moved to an outstanding location at the Crystal Springs Golf Course immediately off of a major freeway, Interstate 280.
It is easy to get to for both exhibitors and attendees alike with easy parking. They have managed to attract the best cars from around Northern California to this event every year for the past few years.
At 57 consecutive years this is the longest continuously running Concours d’Elegance in the world.
This year the Concours was on Sunday July 21 and I drove the Bizzarrini GT 5300 Strada to this event and back, a total of about 80 miles round trip.
The featured marques and models were: Aston Martin, Porsche 911, Evolution of the Corvette, Fabulous ’57s and the Weird and the Wonderful.
Below are some of my photos, I posted other photos of the Hillsborough Concours d’Elegance here.
Beautiful grounds that are very similar in looks to the Black Forrest in Germany. The water in crystal springs reservoir is piped 150 miles from Yosemite and supplies San Francisco with cold clear Sierra water.
