“For this year, I plan to have some art on marques that I didn’t feature before because it’s an Italian car show, but since I am also writing a book on the 356 Porsche, I’ll have some Porsche prints,” says Wyss.

He also is going to try to have some prints of his paintings of more current Ferraris, and Lamborghinis, even up to the newest models.

“I am in love with the ones I knew first, from the Sixties, like the Ferrari Lusso,” he says “but have come to recognize that there is a new generation whose first knowledge of Ferraris starts at the 308.”

Wyss promises he will also have a couple of work renderings from factory designers, ones released to the media at International Auto Shows. “The most unusual one,” he says, “is when Ken Okuyama was with Pininfarina, they handed out prints of his renderings of the cars he designed for him when he was a staffer, including the Rosso show car, the Enzo and a Maserati.”

Wyss will also have on display some curated photographs from his personal 10,000-picture collection. “I normally don’t bill myself as a photographer,” he says, “and usually shoot a car as it sits at a concours or race without going to great lengths to ‘stage’ it against the best scenery.

But now that some of my shots were taken at tracks or events that no longer exist, I realized it’s time to dig out some of the pictures I have taken in the last half century.”

Wyss started out his journalistic career as a staffer at Motor Trend back in the 1960s.

He is the author of 18 books, all car histories except for Ferrari Hunters, a novel.
