My AC Cobra Mk IV Sold on Bring a Trailer Today

by Mike Gulett –

I announced a few days ago that I listed my 1987 Autokraft AC Cobra Mk IV on Bring a Trailer (click here to see the listing). It sold on Saturday July 22, 2023 at 12:55pm PT for $137,000 USD.

AC Cobra Mk IV

This is the second car that I have sold on Bring a Trailer and I highly recommend this as an easy way to sell your classic vehicle.

BaT resets the clock when there is a new bid within 2 minutes of the auction scheduled end time. This auction was scheduled to end at 12:37pm Pacific Time today but actually ended at 12:55pm – 18 minutes later because of bids that kept coming in within the last 2 minutes.

The bid was at $75,000 at the beginning of the last day and went from $82,000 to $137,000 in the last hour. It was fun to watch.

Congratulations–now I’d like o hear everybody’s suggestions what to buy next.
    My votes are

    Intermeccanica Italia
    Bizzarrini Europa
    Intermeccanica Indra
    Jenson Interceptor convertible
    Iso Fidia 4-door

Whatever you think has the most appreciation potential

  2. Wow, so many fun choices. I love the Bizzarrini Europa but rarely see one available. Of course, Porsches are desirable but not that unique except for some pricey models. On the low end I recently added a Karmann Ghia to my fleet that I’m totally enjoying. A poor man’s 356, Italian designed and hand built in the Karmann factory of German quality. Though some hop them up mine is stock and short on power thus I won’t have to worry about a speeding ticket but will nicely hold 65-70 mph on the highway. It has a high cute factor, and my girlfriend loves it! Mine is Saturn yellow with black and we call her Limoncello.
I love your taste in cars and I’m confident you’ll select something fun. Of your cars I’m familiar with the Grifo and Bizzarrini were my favorites.
Congratulations on a great sale and can’t wait to hear of your next acquisition. .

  4. Wallace,

    It’s Jensen…..

Although not on your list, my vote would be for a Jensen FF
