The Iso Millenium Committee of the Italian City of Bresso recently had its third gathering of Isoisti in the last five years. The Committee celebrates the cars of Renzo Rivolta and his son Piero.
For those of you that have read anything I write about Iso you know that I just can’t share enough compliments about Piero Rivolta. After Piero’s Father passed away in 1966, he took over the company and continued to build fabulous cars throughout the 60’s and 70’s. He even had his own Formula 1 Team, and none other than Frank Williams was his Team Manager!
One of the reasons so many people head to Bresso Italy when an Iso club function is gathering is they know that Piero will be there greeting all of the Club Members. His modesty and friendliness is hard to imagine, he just makes everyone feel like his good friend. This year was no different.
I have been to the last three gatherings, and in 2013 I went with the Publisher of My Car Quest, Mike Gulett. We had a blast. Not only did we go to Bresso, but we went to Ferrari, and then on to Livorno to see Giotto Bizzarrini.
This year was a combination of several celebrations. First was the 70th Anniversary of the Iso Isetta, next was the showing of Daniel Specks new book, Volevamo Andare Lontano, and our first in the flesh review of the Zagato Iso Rivolta Gran Turismo.
The IsoRivolta Vision Gran Turismo by Zagato will be a drivable vehicle in Gran Turismo Sport, the latest chapter of the acclaimed Sony PlayStation video game.
It has absolutely space age looks. It looks to many like a real Batmobile, but yet it is aerodynamically exciting. It is a tube frame chassis powered by a Callaway Tuned Corvette drivetrain.
It turned out to be another wonderful weekend in Bresso. Flavio Campetti is my club contact in Bresso at the Iso Millinenium Committee, he is an extremely organized guy, and along with Roberto Ghezzi and the Committee they do a wonderful job managing this event. For an Iso Enthusiast it is a must see. If you are just a car guy or gal I say it is a must do.
Let us know what you think in the Comments.

Where can I get one of those cool looking green ISO shirts ?
Deat Peter,
unfortunately these polo shirts were sold out duing the days of the meeting.
In agreement with Rivolta, traditionally Iso Millennium produce a limited number of shirts or hats or gadgets for the enthusiasts coming to Bresso.
Since Iso Millennium is a no-profit organization, there are no commecial activities along the year.
We’re sorry for have not the opportunity to satisfy your request, but we invite you to visit us for the next international Iso meeting in Bresso!
Kind Regards

Hello,
any one could get me in touch with Iso Millenium Committee/Flavio Campetti?
Fredercik, Milan
Fredercik,
I sent your email address to Flavio.
AHHH YES, THE ISO. A GREAT CAR. I HAD OWNED ONE AND DROVE IT FOR SEVERAL YEARS. I HAD LET A GRIFO SLIP THROUGH MY FINGERS, ABOUT 20 YEARS AGO, I ALWAYS REGRETTED.
PS; IRONICALLY, I DID NOT NOTICE TILL YEARS LATER, WHEN I BOUGHT A FEW BMW , E-9s, ,HOW SIMILAR THEY LOOK IN THE PROFILE TO THE RIVOLTA.
BMW, after the Isetta production, remained “inspired” by Iso products, always with big success!
I had to sell my Grifo long nose about 25 years ago due to my divorce. Wow, I sure wish I still had that car. One of the few things in life that would constantly put a smile on my face. The ex made sure I got rid of the car and the smile.
Dear Don!
Thanks a lor for your kind words. You are one of the very good reasons to spend and dedicate our efforts!
